The Marine Engineer I is a mid-level staff position jointly responsible for engineering, commissioning, and documenting marine sales projects with our current engineering staff.
The job involves both in-house and field design, troubleshooting, and customer interaction in a very integrated team environment.
Local travel to Louisiana and Florida is routine, USA-wide, and international travel is more seldom.

Project design, installation, and commissioningo Design and publish package, control, and integration drawings according to our sales documentation and our customers' needso Coordinate closely with field project managers, field technicians, inside project manager, sales representatives, our suppliers, customers, and customers' other vendorso Support sales representatives with research and design for sales quotationso Perform installation and commissioning in the field.
Solve product and design problems in the fieldo Application issueso Supplier product issueso Technical design faultso Project design feedback for future enhancementCommon tasking:
o 2D and 3D mechanical and electrical drawingso Equipment installation/performance troubleshooting on the job siteo Teaching other technically oriented people how to operate or manipulate equipment and control systemso Implement revisions to designs in the field, on the flyo Engineering research in the office to solve customer, vendor, and coworker issues ________________________________________QualificationsMinimum Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Marine EngineeringMinimum
Experience:
Working knowledge of marine vessels and equipment.
Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
